THE PHOTO GALLERY
I enjoy taking pictures. I find that they help tell to a story; but even more so, they provide a visual description of historical experiences. Below, I've posted for your enjoyment a small sampling of pictures from different events and areas of my life.
Life of Timo (pictures)
Here are a sample of pictures of me throughout parts of my early life.
Tanzania 1993 (Tanzania pictures) (Safari pictures)
I lived in Arusha, Tanzania for 4 months (August - December) back in 1993. It was one of my co-op work terms. Quite a life experience. The most interesting part was that I was living about a one hour drive from Lyamungu, the research station where I had lived from 1974-1976.
Guatemala 1995 (pictures still to come)
After finishing university in 1995, I took a month off and travelled to Guatemala to visit a friend of mine who was working as a missionary, teaching English at a school in the city of Quetzaltenango (or Xela). I ended up teaching a bit, plus I managed to visit some Mayan ruins.
Ecuador 1996 (pictures still to come)
I joined a mission team from my parents' church on a month trip to Ecuador. We went down to help build a church and to do other mini projects. At the end of our stay, we even managed to visit the Galapagos Islands.
Lifestream (1997-1998) (pictures)
In October 1997, seven Christian musicians got together to play at a church event. We enjoyed playing together and so we formed the band "Lifestream". The seven band members represented six different denominations. In November 1998, I retired to focus on my church work, but the band continued on.
South Africa 1999 (pictures)
During the last two weeks of September 1999, I went on a trip to South Africa to visit a friend of mine. We travelled around the country, visiting friends and seeing the sights.
Japan 2001 (pictures)
For two weeks in January 2001, I went to Japan to visit my friends Dan & Danica Dixon in the city of Hagi. It was a cool two weeks in a totally different culture.

Over the years, I've had many different opportunities to lead worship and/or play in worship bands. Here are some pictures of the different experiences.
